Somewhere on this website I've hid an alphanumeric string ("the flag") and it is your task to find it. I recommend using Kali Linux or Parrot OS to do this, but it's possible with neither. As this is my personal website, there are a few rules (which in a way double as hints):
Sometimes the CTF undergoes maintenance (because, for example, I want to change it, or add something new to it). Click "Commence CTF" below to check its status. If the CTF is inactive, then please come back later.
If the flag is active, then it is available to you right now, and it changes every day at 10:01 UTC thanks to cron.
Absolutely no server-side shenanigans is needed nor allowed. That means you are not to try to own my SSH and/or SFTP credentials to obtain the flag (or any other information for that matter). It is illegal to do that, so don't.
There are several ways to find the flag. Some are easier but way more tedious than others. Bruteforce approaches are destined to fail.
You do not need to parse the pages related to my blog. In other words, any URL with a /lil extension contains no information. The other pages, however, are all fair game.
You need JavaScript enabled. If that makes you uncomfortable, then this CTF isn't for you.
There is no prize but pride. Still, feel free to email me if you succeed. If circumstance allows, then there's a chance I'll buy you a beer (age permitting).
